Shared Hosting Plans
Customer Responsibility
Periodic backups of data on shared hosting servers and email infrastructure may be performed, but the final responsibility for all backups of data on your hosting package rests with the customer.
External Hosting Providers
For customers hosted with a provider other than MIDI Web Design, you are solely responsible for your website backups. MIDI Web Design does not keep your website backed up.
Recommended Backup Practices
We strongly recommend that you take periodic backups and store them independently so you have multiple options in case a restore is required.
Manual Backup Options
If hosted with MIDI Web Design, you may use your hosting control panel to back up your website files and maintain multiple backup time frames.
Backup Assistance
Contact us if you need assistance performing manual backups.
Website Guard Backup Service
We strongly recommend using our Website Guard Backup service for reliable and inexpensive offsite backups.
Cluster Hosting Plans
No Per‑Server or Per‑Package Backups
With Cluster Hosting and all email services, MIDI Web Design does not maintain backups that can be restored on a per‑server or per‑package basis.
Backups Not Guaranteed
Backups are never guaranteed by nature of cluster‑based services.
Customer Responsibility
Your use of the Services is at your sole risk. MIDI Web Design does not maintain backups of dedicated accounts or services purchased by you. You should not rely on MIDI Web Design for backup. It is solely your responsibility to maintain backups.
Data Liability
MIDI Web Design is not responsible for files or data residing on your account. You agree to take full responsibility for all files and data transferred and to maintain all appropriate backups of files and data stored on the servers.

This is why we recommend every Cluster Hosting Plan include a Website Guard Backup service.
Email Accounts
MIDI Web Design does not retain backups of any emails sent or received through hosting‑based email accounts.
Email Restoration Limitations
In the event of a system failure or adverse incident, only full server‑level email restoration is possible. Individual email messages or mailboxes cannot be recovered or transferred to another hosting provider.
